Merkel speaks of ‘horrific and incomprehensible act’
Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany speaks of a “horrifying and incomprehensible act” in response to the deadly attack on a christmas market in Berlin.
“I’m just like millions of others very sad that yesterday happened,” said Merkel on Tuesday at a press conference. In the attack Tuesday came twelve people, plus about fifty others are injured.
“I think at this time especially to them and their families and friends. I want them to know that this whole country on their side, and hopes and prays that she can continue after this terrible blow.”
The German chancellor said that the “horrible would be if it were actually someone that did as if he were in Germany the protection sought”. She reacts on the news that the perpetrator is a 23-year-old pakistani guy is that if refugees Germany has arrived.
