The White House, the first Trumpet Christmas

The Trumpet family is ready to celebrate his first Christmas in the White House, but how exactly is the first lady Melania Trump putting her own touch to this year’s decor?

After a whirlwind couple of weeks preparing the White House for Christmas, decorating the executive mansion for the lighting of the National christmas tree, Melania Trump said that if she could vacation anywhere in the world, it would be “on a deserted island, a tropical island.”

A visit to the Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D. C. on Dec. 7., an annual tradition observed by the first ladies through the last 60 years, Trump made the surprising admission while taking questions from pediatric patients, the New York Post reports.

I was so grateful for the opportunity to spend time with the children and their families yesterday, and thanks for the medical staff @Childrenshealth for their life-saving work. pic.twitter.com/dkQvUM3RMl

FIRST LADY MELANIA TRUMP SERVES MORE THAN THE WHITE HOUSE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS, OUTFIT

“If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?” a 10-year-old boy named Andy asked. “I would spend my holidays on a desert island, a tropical island, with my family,” Trump replied with a smile.

Predictably, the Twitterverse exploded in commentary, some compared it to a christmas wish or episode of “Gilligan’s Island”, while others defended her wish for a break statement.

Melania Trump said her Christmas wish would be for her family to go on a “desert island”…. I have a feeling that a lot of Americans who are exactly the same thing.pic.twitter.com/bv5uXTgpI3
