Melania Trump, Karen Pence elementary school students, military discuss agencies to emergency prep

Melania Trump and Karen Pence, paid a visit on Wednesday to a group of fifth graders in South Carolina, emergency prepping pillowcase kits for natural disasters as part of an initiative to mentally and physically children for evacuation to prepare.

The first and second ladies was enough flashlights to the students, lambs Elementary School in North Charleston, participating in the Red cross pillowcase project.

“I love what you’re doing, Melania Trump, told a girl how the children decide to grab what items you need for emergencies. After learning that the girl offered the sister of a member of the military, Trump thank you for your service.

The first lady also praised the school for implementation “to help such an important program, prepare the children for emergencies.”

Trump and Pence visit to South Carolina comes weeks after the state was swept in the path of hurricane Dorian shortly after labor Day. The couple were informed by several significant emergency response team at Joint Base Charleston on your methods of emergency planning, including the mobilization of Federal resources both before and after natural disasters.

Officials from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the 841st transportation battalion of the U.S. coast guard, the 437th and 315th Airlift Wings and the 628th Emergency Operations Center were all present.

In a speech to a group of more than 500 people, most of them active military members and their families, Melania Trump, the latest raid targeting praises of the Islamic state (ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in Syria.

“I’m reminded every time about the important missions you have to do our military anywhere in the world,” she said. “You carry the message of duty, honor and country where you are deploying, our teams, is a proof of our national unity, to demonstrate every day how our communities lean on each other and find the strength and courage to step forward, if required, in times of need. If there are missing loved ones currently in use, or families struggling with loss, the military community always shows, what’s the resistance look like in the face of adversity.”

The wives of President Trump and Vice President of the Pence field of Republican South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster and his wife, Peggy, were welcomed on the roll. McMaster has long been an ally of the President, to support the since the first statewide elected official in the country Trump candidacy in 2016, while he was lieutenant governor.

The first lady’s visit came just days after President Trump’s traveled to South Carolina, where he participated in a criminal justice forum in the last week.
