The makeup artist behind Meghan Markle, the royal wedding look, says Prince Harry has expressed his appreciation after the ceremony.

Daniel Martin worked on the former “Suits” actress ahead of the couple’s May 19 wedding in Windsor, England.

“I know exactly what they like and don’t want to,” he told InStyle this week. “After the ceremony, Harry kept saying thank you. He thanked me for making her look like herself.”

He stressed the importance of the look like the best version of yourself, especially on such an important day.

“The last thing you want [is] to look at your wedding photos and go, ‘Remember when mark was the anger?'” Martin said. “At the end of the day, you want to look like your best self.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex would like to thank everyone who has participated in the celebration of their marriage on Saturday. They feel so happy to be able to share their day with all those gathered in Windsor and also all those who watched the wedding on television in the united kingdom, Commonwealth, and around the world #RoyalWedding

Martin added, “It would distract, and that is what you don’t want as the dress is the main attraction. Make-up should be the finishing touch for the dress, never the other way around…especially at your wedding!”
