Meghan Markle admits that she ‘misses’ ‘Suits’

During a visit to Ireland with her new husband, Prince Harry, Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle admitted to missing her role in ‘Fits.’ The 36-year-old star of the series, before retiring from Hollywood when she became a member of the royal family.

Wendell Pierce could not believe that his co-star Meghan Markle was dating Prince Harry, who is sixth in line for the British throne.

The 54-year-old, who played the role of Markle’s on-screen father on the USA legal drama ” Suits,” recently revealed to Extra how he realized the American actress’ relationship with the royal was the real deal.

“I actually didn’t believe it was real, then all of a sudden I turn around and there is this guy from MI-5 [British security service) on the set every day,” he said.

Pierce added that Markle, 37, is doing “amazing” in her new role as the Duchess of Sussex.

“One thing was clear, she was very happy,” he explained. “She had a glow. I knew that she was in love… With the whirlwind of publicity and the world of the royal now is the one thing that is constant is the fact that I know that she loves him.”

Back in August, Pierce revealed, he shared one last special moment with Markle before they said goodbye to the “Suits” after her engagement with Harry, 33, in November.

Pierce told the UK Telegraph he still “cherishes” one memory with Markle before they filmed the finale of Season 7 — the last episode that they played in together.

He told Markle, who appeared as Rachel Zane in the legal drama, that he is her boyfriend “it doesn’t matter where you are or what’s going on.”

“We had a moment that I cherish,” says Pierce. “I was with Meghan in her wedding dress, while we waited for a setup [scene]. We were alone. I said to her, ‘Your life is going to change. It is going to be amazing, but I want you to know that I am your friend, and it doesn’t matter where you are or what’s going on – if the bowl you will ever begin to you – you can call me.'”

Pierce, who previously starred in HBO’s “The Wire” is also about the racism that was aimed at Markle, after he was cast as her father.

“Like gravity, [racism] exists,” he said. “You need to be always vigilant and prepared.”

Back in February, Pierce revealed on Harry Connick Jr. chat show that he and Markle used to talk about her romance with Prince Harry “in code” to prevent the spread of gossip.

“We always talked about him in the code really,” he explained. “You know, ‘How are you doing?’ ‘Oh, I’m going to London, coming from London,’ whatever.”

While many of Markle’s “Suits” co-stars attended the royal wedding at Windsor Castle in May, Pierce admitted that he was “not present” on the big day. He instead chose to celebrate at home.
