Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have officially filed a trademark to register for a royal charity.

According to People magazine, the couple is filing for their organization, published last week, almost six months after Meghan and Harry announced that they would separate from the common love that they share with Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Meghan and Harry’s love interest is set to be called the Sussex, the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, a name that was the first time they shared back in June when they announced their split, with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge-based organization.

According to the outlet, the trademark application lists a number of items, including the magazine “apparel, items, social services, and charitable fund-raising.”

As the royal couple for the first time, in a report to be released in June with the announcement of their decision to start their own organization.

“The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, england, has today announced the findings of a study of the structure, and how it’s going to provide the best possible support from their Royal Highnesses for the future of charity,” the palace announced (via People).

“Later in the year with The Royal Foundation, the major charitable and philanthropic vehicle of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge,” the statement continued. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will present their new members with a temporary operating support of The Royal Foundation. In addition, the two pairs will continue to work on our projects in the future, including The Foundation’s mental health program, and put our Heads Together.”

The outlet also shared that the new changes have been made to the “the best addition to the activities and responsibilities of their Royal Highnesses as they prepare for their future roles, and to better align their philanthropy with their families.”

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are incredibly proud of what they have achieved, through The Royal Foundation. They are proud to have created an organization that has, and will continue to have a significant long-term impact, changing lives for the better,” read the statement.

The official trademark filing comes on the heels of an unprecedented move for Meghan and Harry’s in terms of their vacation plans. The parents of Archie, legend has it that, in Canada, with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, and the rest of the royal family as they celebrated Christmas following a tradition at Sandringham.
