Meghan Markle admits that she ‘misses’ ‘Suits’

During a visit to Ireland with her new husband, Prince Harry, Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle admitted to missing her role in ‘Fits.’ The 36-year-old star of the series, before retiring from Hollywood when she became a member of the royal family.

Meghan Markle “politely” declined her invitation for the 2018 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, to The Sun.

Sources revealed to the outlet that the new Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry, were invited to the annual Hollywood celebration of TV as special guests.

“Show executives and NBC had offered Harry and her invitation to celebrate with the biggest stars around, to meet her showbiz friends, and even an honor,” the insider told the publication. “We had hoped Meghan would attend as a way of saying goodbye to her best fans, and colleagues.”

Markle and Harry have reportedly decided to give their invite to the 2018 Emmy Awards by the royal life protocols.


But despite receiving the honorable invitation, The Sun reported that the Duke and Duchess “politely rejected” the invitation and that Markle’s decision was a “line in the sand” between her former acting career and new life as a member of the British royal family.

Prior to the announcement of the 2018 Emmy Award nominees, it was predicted that Markle could possibly be nominated for her first Emmy for her role as Rachel Zane in Suits.”

In June, a representative for the usa Network confirmed to Fox News that the 37-year-old’s name was submitted for the “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.”

“Meghan Markle was introduced by the prices consultants for the USA Network,” a Tv Academy spokesperson told Fox News. “They verified it and/or its representatives were aware that the entry was made and had advised to go ahead and proceed with the request.”

Markle made a name for herself in Hollywood as Rachel Zane on the hit USA series “Suits.” Season 8 of the show continued on without her.


In her career, the new royal has not won major prizes for her “Suits” character, nor has the show been nominated for an Emmy.

Markle broke the news that they would be “transition” of her career, revealing she would not return for the eighth season of “Suits” back in 2017 at the time of her betrothal.

Experts earlier told Fox News it is expected that Markle will follow in the footsteps of the late Hollywood icon Grace Kelly, who had a successful career, but gave it to the Princess of Monaco when she married Prince Rainier in 1956.

Grant Harrold, an etiquette expert who served as a butler to the members of the royal family – including Harry and his older brother, William, told Fox News Markle will be too busy with her duties as a royal for the pursuit of her career.

“Royal duties take a lot of time with the royals to work for weeks at a time with very little time, especially with travel abroad,” he said.

Markle and Harry had to bite on her 37th birthday in his friend’s wedding in England on Saturday, Aug. 4.


And with a new life full of royal duties, the duchess even went in her 37th birthday with a royal event. Markle celebrated her birthday on the arm of her husband at his friend’s wedding in the English countryside on Saturday.

While Harry carried out his duties as a messenger, the birthday girl will experience smiling outside the chapel, chatting with the other guests.
