Hollywood refuses to give up on Meghan Markle.

The American actress, who became the Duchess of Sussex after her May 19 wedding of the british Prince Harry, could be in the running for an Emmy award.

A rep for the usa Network confirmed to Fox News Wednesday the 36-year-old’s name was submitted for the “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series” category for her role as Rachel Zane in the usa Network legal drama ” Suits.”

Markle has not previously won major awards for her character, which means that this would be her last chance to win the prestigious honor as she confirmed in November her retirement to act.

At the time of her engagement, Markle told the BBC that they would be “transition” of her career, revealing she would not return for the eighth season of ” Suits.”

Rachel’s adventure has only just begun. #Suits airs on Wednesdays 9/8c on @USA_Network.

Experts earlier told Fox News it is expected that Markle will follow in the footsteps of the late Hollywood icon Grace Kelly, who had a successful career, but gave it to the Princess of Monaco when she married Prince Rainier in 1956.

Grant Harrold, an etiquette expert who served as a butler to the members of the royal family – including Harry and his older brother, William, told Fox News Markle will be too busy with her duties as a royal for the pursuit of her career.

“… The royal duties take a lot of time with the royals to work for weeks at a time with very little time, especially with travel abroad,” he said.

Still, Markle can be faced with a number of important competition for the coveted prize. ET noted Chrissy Metz of ‘ This is Us,” Thandie Newton “Westworld”, “The Handmaid’s Tale” star Ann Dowd, Millie Bobby Brown of ‘Strange Things’, as well as Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams of “Game of Thrones” are some of the many actresses vying for a nomination.

Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex!

But despite Markle’s royal status, his potential was nominated for an Emmy is not unusual. ET noticed USA Network has always presented the main cast of “Suits” every year, but not have received an Emmy nomination for the first six seasons.

And, interestingly enough, actress Parisa Fitz-Henley, who portrayed Markle in Life is “Harry & Meghan: a Royal Romance,” is also the Emmy consideration mood, claimed to be ET.

William Hanson, British etiquette consultant, previously told Fox News in Hollywood have not heard the last of Markle.

“If they ever returned, they would be likely to be conservative roles, not like her last role in ‘Suits'”, he explained. “They are more likely to focus on her charitable interests, humanitarian interests. [But] its role is… the Duchess of Sussex.”

At the end of Season 7, Suitors will have to say goodbye to Rachel and Mike. In the words of Patrick J. Adams: “Mike Ross has taught me a lot about the commitment, the hard work and the power of believing in yourself.” Link in the bio for more of @halfadams’ thoughts on his #Applies to departure.
