Senate majority Leader Mitch McConnell with a devastating video mocking democratic senators to vote “present” on the Green New Deal late Tuesday, in spite of the importance of the proposal for weeks, advertises.

McConnell, R-Ky., a ballot on the Green New Deal on Tuesday, forcing the Democrats to go on the record with their support or opposition to the non-binding resolution.

The Senate could not reach 60 votes needed to begin debate on the proposal, with 42 Democrats and sen Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. Voting “present.” Democrats held back, to bring a protest against McConnell decision, the measure, on the ground, looking at it as a stunt.

But the Republicans are already doing to ridicule Democrats. The McConnell video contains plenty of footage of Democratic senators praised the proposal, the Republicans like McConnell as a “radical, top-down, socialist redesign of the entire U.S. economy.”

GREEN NEW DEAL FAILS SENATE TEST VOTE, DOZENS OF DEMOCRATS VOTE ‘PRESENT’

The video starts with Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-ore., Singing: “What do we want?” with a lot of Green New Deal”.” Merkley chants back: “And when do we want it?” welcomed the response of the “now!”

It cuts in sen. Cory Booker, D-N. J., who has announced his 2020 White house bid, saying that “our planet is in danger, and we need to be brave.”

Then a clip of Sanders co-host of ABC’s “The View”, says that the Green New Deal go too far.

“You can’t go too far on the issue of climate change,” Sanders says.

It contains clips from a variety of other 2020 democratic hopefuls, such as Sens. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., Kamala Harris, D-Calif., and Kirstin Gillibrand, D-NY, at an early stage their support for the proposal.

“The Green New Deal—I’m in all the way,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., is heard to say.

OBAMA WARNS OF THE FRESHMEN AT THE COST OF THEIR PROPOSALS

But on Tuesday, when the time came, on the plate, the Senate voted to begin debate on the legislation, while 57 lawmakers voted against the procedure. Democratic Sens. Doug Jones of Alabama, Joe Manchin of West Virginia, and Kyrsten Sinema from Arizona came to 53 Republicans in voting “no”. Sen. Angus King, I-Maine, the group meetings of the Democrats, voted “no”.

The rest of the senators, including the proposal, co-sponsor, Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., to the “present.”

The Green New Deal, the Markey and co-sponsor, freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, rolled out earlier this year, a massive overhaul of the nation’s economic Affairs and energy, with an estimated cost that could reach in the tens of thousands of trillions of dollars.
