Senate majority Leader Mitch McConnell said on “Fox & Friends” Monday that the Democrats less helpful than Mexico in addressing the border crisis.
In response, he said that he was going to a “free-standing” bill next week to commit, which is about $5 billion to address the humanitarian part of the crisis.
McConnell, R-Ky., said the money was to be present, to provide in a law application for emergency funds to areas of severe weather hit, but the Democrats insisted that the funds be removed.

“I’ll bring it up next week and see if you really are not interested in dealing with this mass of humanity that we care for at the border. What is the objection? he asked.
He stressed that the bill would focus on the humanitarian issues, the not President Trump border wall, which vigorously opposed by the Democrats.
“I think it’s safe to say that the President is becoming more and more the cooperation of Mexico, he said of congressional Democrats,” McConnell.
