Mayim Bialik: ‘I Had no idea’ about ‘Big Bang’ finale

Fox411: Actress Mayim Bialik says that she was shocked by the ‘Big Bang Theory’ finale and had no idea what was going to happen

Mayim Bialik addressed rumors that the CBS hit show “Big Bang Theory” could be coming to an end after Season 12.

The star, who plays the role of Amy Farrah Fowler on the show, opened up about the show at the Critics Choie Awards.

“We are really proud of what we do… We are one of the few classic, four-camera sitcom shows that still truly believe in what we do and how we do it,” she told reporters backstage, according to Us Weekly. “Chuck [Lorre] loves and believes in a live studio audience and we do as well. We do a very different kind of television than many of the shows that we are against and are against a decade now — we are very proud of what we do.”

The show is currently in its eleventh season, and many fans have speculated the wrap after the twelfth season.

“I think everyone will be really happy to do other things in their life. We really do love what we do. Our workplace is a fun place and like I said, busy with the old-school series is pretty special for us,” she said.

The “Flower” stars don’t expect to have a lot of free time when the show ended.

“It sounds pretentious to say What I really want to do, is the film.’ But I have two boys, they are 9 and 12, and so I really need — I always think of them,” revealed Bialik. “I train my older for his bar mitzvah now, that is what his life is. It is really where will they be in a year, and what will my life look like if their mother, as a person who also gets paid to play dress up?”

Johnny Galecki spoke about the possible end on Saturday, as he spoke with reporters at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour.

“The only way the cast has discussed with the packaging of the show is that we are all very sad when that day comes,” he admitted. “But I think at this point everyone is very comfortable with 12 seasons a good time to go home and our families.”
