Maud Mulder owes everything to Idols
Maud Mulder has no problems with it that her singing career has been on a low. She says the pressure to have her own business and family.
“I still do things that I really like and it helps that I’m never alone on the singing, and have concentrated”, tells Mulder to The Telegraph.
The 34-year-old started out as a hockey star, but chose a singing career over a place in the Dutch women’s team. In 2004 she took part in Idols, they finished second behind Boris Titulaer.
“Until the day of today I have all the talentenprogramma to thank”, says the singer. “My house in Amsterdam and Beatzone, the singing and dance school that I along with my friend ben started and the singles that I have recorded. During Idols, I getting to know the people with whom I still work with.”
From Sunday, is Mulder to see again in little red riding hood, the musical about the fairy tale. Eight years ago, she made her theaterdebuut with the same role. “When everything was still freedom, joy. Now I am a mother of two young children.” That a singing career now to be neglected, Mulder, “somewhere also currently fine”. “It is simply impossible to combine.”
