Master builder climbs to fifth place at the world CHAMPIONSHIPS Laser Radial in Medemblik
Zeilster Marit Bouwmeester on Wednesday at the world championships in the Laser Radial class on the IJsselmeer off the coast of Medemblik again done good business.
The 29-year-old Dutch finished the two races on the third day of the world cup as first and second. Bouwmeester, therefore, increased from the 24th to the fifth place in the standings.
The olympic champion recovered itself from its lesser performance on the first day of the tournament. They were 29th and 27th. Tuesday climbed to Architect all from the 61st to 24th place.
“After the first day, we have a number of processes are properly tightened. That resulted in yesterday all of a much better level. The same managed today. Despite the difficult circumstances we have two beautiful, stable races down the can,” said Bouwmeester afterwards.

Bouwmeester currently has 39 points. The hole with the number three of the ranking, the German Svenja Weger, amounts to seventeen points. The Japanese Manami Doi, and Belgian Evi van Acker with 21 points in the lead.
Maxime Jonker, who, after two days of the best Dutch was on the tenth spot, dropped to the twelfth place. Mirthe Akkerman and Daphne van der Vaart after six races, respectively, 29th and 36th.
