The police in Massachusetts were sent to deal with a shocking discovery Saturday after a resident found a boa constrictor under the hood of a car.

Someone called authorities about the ‘jawdropping’ found after the watching of the great serpent during the check of the car fluids, the Stoughton Police Department said on Facebook.

“So you are collecting your thoughts, your own heart, and call your local police department and relay what you have found,” police said. “It is sent, and the brave officers, without having ever gone to the snake charming school, from the head to the capture of this fire-breathing dragon.”

Multiple police officers, in addition to an animal control officer, arrived on the scene and managed to “safely” remove the hose from its hiding place, police said.

No one was injured during the shooting, that the police joked was done without the help of their supervisor, who “was hiding, as far as he could of this very dangerous mission.”

Animal control took custody of the reptiles, which “will be well taken care of,” said the police.
