Mass grave discovered in Libya with remains of 34 Ethiopian christians

Near the Libyan city and rebel groups started is Monday a mass grave uncovered containing the remains of 34 Ethiopian christians. Libyan authorities reported that the christians in 2015 are executed by members of the terrorist group Islamic State (IS).

According to the Libyan ministry of the Interior, could the tomb be traced by evidence of captured IS fighters. The remains are eventually transferred to Ethiopia.

In april 2015 spread on the internet a video of the beheading of at least twelve men on a beach and the execution of sixteen others with firearms in a desert area. The terrorists call their victims “members of the Ethiopian church from the enemy”. It is not known whether in the mass grave with 34 christians, people that are on the video IS were to be seen.

IS received in 2015, the control of rebel groups started. By the end of 2016 had the terreurbeweging town in Central Libya available to local Libyan forces for air support from the Americans.
