Maryland delegate says the man shouted ‘Heil Hitler’ on her

TOWSON, Md. – A Jewish state of Maryland legislator says a man shouted “Heil Hitler” on her, while she is campaigning.

Del. Shelly Hettleman tells the Baltimore Sun that the man stopped his car and shouted, the expression on her Monday morning. Hettleman, Baltimore County Democrat, says the man shouted, “You don’t represent us” and said the various expletives.

Hettleman man and campaign manager both witness of the scene. Baltimore County Del. Dana Stein was campaigning in the neighborhood and saw someone yelling at Hettleman. But she says that she couldn’t decipher what was being said over the noise of the traffic.

Hettleman says she plans to report the incident to county police. Police spokesman Cpl. Shawn Vinson says that it will then be reported as a bias incident to the police, who record hate crimes and incidents in Maryland.
