Maryland, college student, 19, arrested after the assault, attended with a frying pan: report

A Maryland middle school it was on Monday arrested after police say he was assaulted by a co-worker and class-mate with a frying pan.

Prince Cutchember, 19, was charged with assault in the first degree, after he reportedly hit a student at Walt Whitman High School on Monday morning, and during the fourth period health class, FOX5 reported.

Montgomery County Police were called to the school around 10:41 a.m. on reports of an assault with a frying pan. Once at the scene, police said, the suspect was taken into custody, while the victim was “treated & released” at the school.

A letter from the school that it was going to go home to the parents, who alleged that Cutchember was in an argument with a 15-year-old student, and when he hit the victim over the head with a frying pan.

It is not clear what is the cause of the disagreement, or if the pan was off, but the school said that the campus security was able to intervene and break up the fight, FOX5 reported.

The students told the station that while the fight was going on, someone pulled the fire alarm, and finally to evacuate all of the students, but a spokesman for the school told wusa that the two incidents were not related.
