Martin Gaus (73) received on 25 October a donornier, according to the presenter himself the most beautiful christmas present he has ever received.
“Thank god the operation is successful!”, tells Gaus Saturday in The Telegraph. “There are no rejection and I can even climb stairs.”
“It still feels so unrealistic and mostly awkward. With this implanted kidney, I hope, very aged.”
The presenter was given the kidney of Annette, a close friend of his wife. “Annette has me ultimately given a new life, the way it feels. There I am in her up to my death grateful for that.”
