After her reality tv series, Mariah’s World, Mariah Carey is now a drama series centred around her life.

The series takes place in New York in 1986 and revolves around an ambitious sixteen-year-old of mixed racial descent who wants to make it as a singer-songwriter. The story is based on Carey’s life, but its history is dramatized and told through a fictional character.
The singer goes to the still unnamed project will produce along with Brett Ratner. The well-known Hollywoodproducent had until earlier this year, a production company with James Packer, the ex-fiance of Carey.
