Maria Menounos believes in equal pay for equal work, but feels the situation with her former E! News colleague Catt Sadler is a little more complicated.

Sadler left the network late last year after learning that her on-air partner Jason Kennedy almost twice as much money if they did that. She said that she had to take a stand.

While sympathetic, Menounos said just pay everyone the same is not always feasible. She cited NBA superstar LeBron James, who deserves so much more than many of his teammates.

“Sometimes there are these key players who are going to make, which is seemingly to do the same, but have a bigger career, bigger name a bigger name that they have built, that is the commander of more money. So, there are cases where it is not always the same,” Menounos said.

The tv personality, who was married on national television on New Year’s Eve, stepped down from her anchor duties on E! News after undergoing a brain tumour surgery last year. It provided her a chance to restart her life.

“I was a reluctant workaholic. I do not think that I was, and then I realized that I was proud of it. And now I realize that balance is much more important, and your health is the most important, and when your body is screaming at you, you must listen, ” she said Friday during a Super Bowl event .

Menounos currently hosts “Conversations with Maria” on Sirius XM, and continues to work with WWE, where she recently served as announcer at the Royal Rumble.
