Harvey Weinstein’s wife, Georgina Chapman, is speaking out for the first time since the allegations against her husband.
Marchesa’s Keren Craig, will leave the brand she co-founded 16 years ago, and, with Georgina Chapman, the wife of the siege-movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.
In Craig’s close, about 18 months after allegations of sexual misconduct of the disgraced producer for the first time in October 2017, causes of action, which ultimately led to the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements of the body.
The 43-year-old fashion designer announced the news on Tuesday.

“I’ve had to make the difficult decision to part ways with the Marchesa, and I’m very, very proud of the company, the team and their many successes have been achieved. Marchesa will forever be the realization of a dream come true,” Craig told WWD in a statement.

“Over the past 16 years, it has been the most amazing and fulfilling of the accident. I’m excited that I can now start to explore new creative options, and the push to my full potential as a designer in a new direction,” she added.

As pointed out by Fashionista’s, of Hollywood, was not of a kind to the Marchioness, in the wake of the Weinstein-shame. Rumors swirled that Weinstein forced actor in his productions, to bear his wife, and the luxury label on the red carpet where many A-list stars, to the apparent use of the trade mark.
Then Marchesa will be cancelled in February 2018, with runway show, as reports emerged that Chapman had been “too scared” to go through with it, as well as in the Post. The label is well known for his romantic gowns, it has in particular been absent from the fashion show calendar ever since, according to Fashionista.

Later that year, however,, Scarlett Johansson, and Priyanka Chopra made waves in the sporting Marchesa, and speak of it in Chapman’s defense.
“I’m wearing Marchesa, because their clothing to make women feel confident and beautiful, and it has been my pleasure to have the support of a brand, created by two of the most talented and important female designers,” Johansson told reporters of her, 2018 met Gala look.
“Georgia is a friend of mine, and it is. And it’s not her fault,” I echoed in agreement, reports WWD. “I don’t think it’s right to be a self-made woman, and what a person in her life is done.”
Chapman made her return to the high-profile met Gala in May, a companion, Constance Wu, who also wore Marchesa for the big night out.
