Many civilians killed after U.s. bombing in Mosul
More than a hundred civilians in march to life by a U.s. air strike on a building in the Iraqi city of Mosul. This is evident from research by the Us armed forces.
Researchers concluded that the bombing explosives afgingen by Islamic State in the building were placed. The building collapsed as a result in, with an unprecedented high number of civilian casualties as a result.
Local officials and eyewitnesses said earlier that it is possible that up to 240 people were killed.
Brigadier general Matthew Isler said that the air attack was directed against the two snipers. The US or their Iraqi allies knew according to Isler that civilians were present in the building. Also would not have known that explosives had been fitted in the property.
According to Isler died 101 citizens in the building. In the immediate vicinity, fell a further four civilians killed. About the fate of 36 citizens is still unclear.
