Mangaserie Kochikame stops after forty years
The popular mangaserie Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikoen-mae Hashutsujo also known as Kochikame, it stops after forty years.
On 17 september the latest edition, reports The Japan Times Sunday.
Kochikame is about the disastrous adventures of a police officer Kankichi Ryotsu, which is in the centre of Tokyo works. The mangareeks was in 1996 transformed into a television series in Japan was compared to The Simpsons. The last episode was in 2004 broadcast.
There are more than 155 million editions of Kochikame sold, making it one of the best-selling mangaserie ever.
