“You forget, in what country,” Tlaib, a Palestinian-American, the story went in the last week with one of the first two Muslim women to serve in Congress, tweeted one of the bill’s Fans.

“This is the USA, where a boycott is a right and part of our historical struggle for freedom and equality. Perhaps a refresher of our U.S. Constitution is in order, then open again, to our government instead of our rights away,” she added.

Rubio quickly Tlaib, the reference to the “double loyalty” accused of charging that has taken a long time to suggest to Washington politicians, including the Jewish members, controlled by Israel. Rubio called it a “typical” anti-Semitic line” and argued, “if there is a boycott of #Israel is protected by the Constitution, then, companies to boycott, the boycott of #Israel is also are constitutional protected.”

ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt issued a statement saying, “representative Tlaib tweet regarding the outstanding invoice was suggesting is interpreted in the Senate by some to suggest that Jews or members of Congress, such as the sponsors of the bill, are more loyal to Israel than to their own country. Whether or not that was your intention, this kind of language is problematic.

“… There is no reason why the implicit or explicit accusations of dual loyalty, when otherwise criticize the legislation that bears on Israel.”

Manchin, respond to Tlaib comments, said on Tuesday that the draft law, the anti-Semitism in the BDS movement.
