CRANBERRY, Pa. – A Pennsylvania woman who allegedly was driving drunk with her boyfriend clinging to the roof rack of her SUV will be faced with more serious charges after his death by injuries sustained when he fell from the vehicle.
Jessica Ann Royall, was initially charged with felony assault following a Friday crash in Cranberry. But the authorities say they are now faced with murder charges after the 27-year-old Ryan Minett died on Saturday from blunt force trauma to the head, the trunk and the extremities.
Witnesses say Minett shouted to the spectators to “911” and “Call the police” — as he clung to the luggage rack, his knees pressed against the SUV. He fell and tumbled about 53 feet before he hit a light post.
The 28-year-old Royall was found in her house. They told the police they had a fight with Minett and that he had lived with her.
