Man that in 1993, assault committed on the WTC in prison death
Omar Abdel-Rahman, who was condemned for the bomb attack on the World Trade Center (WTC) in 1993 in the United States in the prison died.
That made his son Saturday known. Ammar Abdel-Rahman told Reuters that he was called by a federal officer with the message that his father had died.
With the attack in 1993 brought Abdel-Rahman, a car bomb detonated below the north tower of the WTC in New York. The attack came six people to life and got 1.042 people injured. Abdel-Rahman was part of a group of terrorists that share the attack prepared.
The terrorists hoped that the north tower by the explosion would subside and it would fall against the south tower. This would allow both towers to collapse. Of the group that the attack planned was Ramzi Yousef as the mastermind behind the organization seen.
