Man sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for unlawful use tens of thousands of euros
A 28-year-old Polish man was on Tuesday sentenced to a term of imprisonment of 30 months, because he has tens of thousands of euro’s barn with the help of malware.

The man sent through e-mails crafted Word files. Opened a target as a Word file, then there was malware installed on the computer.
With the help of the malware got the man together with one or more accomplices access to the computer. There could be seen on the screen, and keystrokes were captured. In addition, the malware the control over mouse and keyboard control.
The attacker used the malware to standing orders to adapt. Transfers of, for example, salaries were this go to accounts in the management of minions. In this way, there would be tens of thousands of euros have been hidden.
In an earlier case the man was sentenced to a prison sentence of 42 months, but in an appeal is the penalty reduced to 30 months.
The man would have previously been condemned in Poland, but according to the court, it is unclear whether this condemnation is current and valid. That would be one of the reasons why the appeal for a lower penalty is chosen.
