Man fined $52 for the cause of Phoenix airport terminal exit

PHOENIX – A man who, as a result of a busy terminal at the Phoenix airport to close for hours after leaving a rental car in a no-parking area is not faced with costs.

Phoenix police say the unidentified 29-year-old man received a parking infringement notice that carries a $52 fine and was ordered to pay a $75 towing fee.

The police has submitted a report to the Transportation Security Administration for possible civil penalties.

The man drove a woman to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is located approximately 6:30 pm Sunday, then left the rented vehicle in a restricted area of Terminal 4 of the second level.

A bomb squad was called in and the terminal was partially evacuated, and three of the four security checkpoints was closed.

More than 300 flights were delayed and dozens cancelled before the terminal returns to normal operations at 11:15 pm
