A Louisiana man who faces a mandatory life term in prison after confessing to the brutal murder of his girlfriend convicted child molester said he is “not sorry” for what he did.
The Lawyer reported that Jace Crehan, was found guilty in 2015, stabbing and strangling death of Robert Noce, Jr, who was 47.
Nuts, a former friend of Brittany, the Monk’s mother, was reportedly sleeping in his trailer in the early morning attack. Crehan, allegedly stuffed his body in a 55-gallon container.
The report said that 13 days before the murder, Nuts pleaded “no contest” in Baton Rouge to sexually molesting Monk, 20.
Monk allegedly admitted to participating in the killing while she was seven months pregnant, and pleaded guilty earlier this year for manslaughter. She faces up to 40 years.
The report said he took the jury an hour to convict Crehan, who do not respond to the ruling. His grandparents, who are reportedly in the courtroom cried.
“You don’t want people from taking justice in their own hands,” Hillar Moore III, the prosecutor said. The report said that his office dropped the attempts of Crehan to reduce the cost for manslaughter.
Crehan, the attorneys, in closing arguments, called the dead out of revenge in the heat of the moment. Crehan, was heard on tape talking with the authorities caved in to the cime.
“I feel a lot better. It is not to be sorry. Is the repentance? I’m not sorry for what I’ve done,” he said, according to the report.
