Man charged with helping in the roommate committed suicide

NORTH HAVERHILL, N. H. – A 19-year-old New Hampshire man accused of causing or aiding in his roommate committed suicide brought a gun, a notebook and a pen to take the place of his death and gave his friend holding the gun at the correct angle to his head, police said in court documents.

The police said Michael Buskey, 19, was found dead of a gunshot wound in the woods near his Plymouth apartment May 8. His death was determined to be a suicide.

Parker Hogan was arraigned Tuesday, WMUR-TV reported . His lawyer entered not guilty means at the cost and charges of falsifying physical evidence.

The police said that Hogan told them Buskey had a court date and did not want to go to jail. He told me that he helped plan Buskey’s suicide. They say the two went into the woods near the apartment, where they practiced ways for Buskey to shoot yourself.

Hogan left the forest, waited until he heard a shot and returned to ensure Buskey was dead, the officials said. He removed a phone from Buskey bag that was playing a song on repeat. He brought the gun and a note Buskey had written to family members. He called the police and Buskey the father the following morning.

The police said Hogan posted bail. He is scheduled to appear in court in July.
