Man breaks in Massachusetts, the Vietnam veteran’s home during his funeral, had other goals: police

Raw video: the 37-year-old Daniel Lennon has been arrested in Franklin, Massachusetts, after being suspected of breaking into homes while people attending the funeral.

A 37-year-old Massachusetts man imprisoned in the house of a family attending the funeral of a Vietnam veteran relative was caught with an alleged list of other houses, that belonged to the residents with a recent death in the family, police said.

The family of Daniel McIsaac, an AMERICAN army officer who served in Vietnam, was attending the funeral in Wrentham on Memorial Day weekend, when there is an alarm on his daughter’s house went out.

Maryfran Randall, McIsaac’s daughter, told Boston 25 they are not immediately suspected of a burglary, but thought it was odd for the alarm – so, on a hunch, she called the Franklin police investigate the home of her father, who is also listed on the public obituary with the date of the funeral.

“They found someone there,” she said.

Franklin police said they found Daniel Lennon on the back of the apartment. When he was asked why he was there, Lennon reportedly told the police that he had been on a leisurely drive and was looking for a place to go to the bathroom.

The police said Lennon had a notebook with him, which contained a number of addresses in the nearby towns-all with connections to families who would just recently someone lost.

Wrentham police said Lennon, broke into Randall’s house during the funeral.

“It breaks my heart, because you are in such an emotional state and then all of a sudden you can’t even do what you gotta do to remember your family member, because now you are dealing with a whole other entity,” said Randall.

Lennon was arrested on burglary charges.

During an appearance, his lawyer told the judge Lennon had recently lost his job, Boston 25 reported.

Milford police said they are investigating two other recent cases of burglaries while families were at funerals to see if there is any connection between Lennon and these crimes.
