Maker minicomputer Raspberry Pi merges with Irish programmeerstichting
The Raspberry Pi Foundation, maker of the eponymous minicomputer, could merge with the CoderDojo Foundation. CoderDojo is an Irish foundation that children worldwide to learn programming.
With the merger, want the two foundations, the range of the so-called ‘dojo’, where children learn to program volunteers, increase. That writes CoderDojo in a statement.
Currently visit approximately 35,000 children of the 1250 CoderDojo locations in 69 countries. In the future, the foundations 185.000 reach children in a hundred countries.
The merger does not mean that there is only Raspberry Pi computers will be used during the meetings. The foundation continues to ‘hardwareneutraal’ and independently and under his own name to operate.
