Fireman gets a ‘thank you’ kiss from the dog stuck on roof
Wells Fire department Captain Jeff Nawfel saves a grateful dog who managed to come out on his roof.
A firefighter’s rescue of a dog on a roof in Maine involved a hairy personal touch.
“This beautiful dog managed to get on the roof of his house by means of a above the window,” Wells police wrote in a Facebook post Sunday, the sharing of photos of the dogs.
She added, “We received many calls, but a concerned citizen, Phil Burke, discovered him early on and notified us. Another great burger was with the dog until we could arrive on scene!”
Wells Fire Capt. Jeff Nawfel used a ladder to get to the dog and got some “kisses” the dog, NECN reports.
The police post led to hundreds of comments from Facebook users, and a number of comments.
“Well done, you got kisses!!!” a commenter wrote.
“Nice job ! Doggie kisses r the best,” another said.
“Good work, boys. And, Doggie, behave yourself,” one user added.

Wells police also posted video shows the duo up on the roof, including Nawfel is licked. The clip has amassed 7,600 views as of Tuesday afternoon.
Officials said that there is still no word on whether the troublesome pet of the dog in the house but still.
