Macaulay Culkin responds to ‘Home Alone’ conspiracy theories

Macaulay Culkin is agree with the fans who have a problem with his hit holiday classic, ” Home Alone.” The former child star visited “The Tonight Show” on Friday where he opened up to host Jimmy Fallon about crazy fan theories and the questions he has around the 1990 classic.

“OK, this guy is really a smart child? But these guys are about to break in, why he doesn’t just call the police?” Culkin, 37, noted. “He makes a master plan, he makes use of micro machines, but for real, there is a fixed line. There is no mobile phones, but still. I think it’s a huge plot hole. I don’t actually spend my days thinking, you know.”

He is also aware of the conspiracy theories around his character.

Fallon raised with the idea that a lot of fans think the late Elvis Presley was in the secret in the movie. Pointing at a male extra in an airport scene, Culkin joked, “I didn’t know that Elvis converted into Richard Karn.”

But the theories do not only surround “Home Alone.”

“I die all the time,” joked the actor. “The first time it happened was my lawyer called me on the phone. I was 15, 16. He says, ” Hey, Mac, is this yours?” And I go, ‘Yes.’ ‘Oh, OK, just checking because CNN said that you were dead.” I can see my watch. It happens once or twice a year.”
