Trump associate Lynne Patton defended President Trump in an interview on Wednesday after her appearance during the explosive Michael Cohen hearing on Capitol Hill.
Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N. C., had a claim to be invited Patton, a housing and urban development (HUD) official, to meet as a guest in the house Oversight Committee hearing, former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, Trump was a “racist.”
“She says that you said as a daughter of a man born in Birmingham, Alabama, that there is no way that it would work, for a Person who was racist,” meadows, Cohen.

Later in the hearing, freshman Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., accused meadows with a black woman “as a prop.”
Meadows blasted Tlaib is free of charge. “My nieces and nephews are people of color. Not many people know that,” he said. “And to show that I asked someone who is a personal friend of the Trump family that worked for him, who knows this certain Person that you come to a prop? It is racist to claim that I ask you to come here for this reason.”

In an interview with The Hill, Patton offered his support for Trump.
“I have known Michael Cohen for 10-plus years. I know the President for probably the same amount of time. Michael Cohen know, I know, the truth, and the truth is that it is not 15 years in the realization of someone a racist is, unless of course you are,” Patton said.

She went on to say that she believed that Cohen was testifying on Capitol Hill this week “will receive a reduced rate.”
Cohen was sentenced to three years in prison for offences including tax fraud and lying to Congress.
