Luis Enrique praises ‘unique’ Sergio Ramos after winning panenka

The Spanish coach Luis Enrique was Saturday after the 2-1-victory against Norway in the european CHAMPIONSHIPS-qualification very high praise on matchwinner Sergio Ramos. The captain showed itself very pleased with the way that ‘La Roja’ under the former trainer of FC Barcelona, is a musician.

Spain had it at the start of his kwalificatiecampagne for the european CHAMPIONSHIPS next year, not easy with the tough Norwegians. The home team came in Estadio Mestalla, however, quickly lead through Valencia attacker Rodrigo, but after more than an hour made by Joshua King from a penalty kick.

“Sergio Ramos has again done very well for us,” said Luis Enrique after the match against the Spanish TVE. “He is a unique player in the history of football. I knew that a player with his personality, a good penalty would take.”

The 48-year-old coach, who after the world cup last year in Russia was appointed to Spain, despite the narrow victory, satisfied with the performance of his team. “We had perhaps deserved to be 5-1 or 6-1 to win, but Norway defended well. We were perhaps not very efficient, but I also get a lot of positive points from this duel.”

‘Coach has a great philosophy”

Ramos praised after the race in Valencia the influence of Luis Enrique, who between 2014 and 2017 as coach of FC Barcelona of no less than nine awards.
