“Love actually” fans were surprised this week when a viral tweet highlighted the age gap between co-stars Keira Knightley and Thomas Brodie-Sangster.
Madeleine Lloyd-Jones, an actress and blogger, according to her Twitter bio, tweeted on Saturday, “an Annual reminder of the fact that there was only a five year age difference between Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Keira Knightley in Love, Actually.” The tweet has since been achieved, 19.2 K, retweets, and 108.4 K to be happy.

Knightley, who portrayed the newly-wed Juliet, 18 years of age at the time of the 2003 movie’s release, while Brodie-Sangster, who portrayed the young Sam was only 13-years-old.
Twitter users had some pretty funny responses to the viral tweet.

Another user tweeted a meme that read, “okay, nobody is going to tell me that there is a 5 year age difference between Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Keira Knightly [sic],/, or was I just supposed to find out who is on Twitter to be myself?”
A user told me with a gif of one of the out-of-character at the end of “Game of Thrones” star Kit Harington as Jon Snow’s interaction with the iPhone, with the caption: “What is this sorcery?”
“He’s 5, and she’s 25,” a user with the clear-eyed observation.
