A Louisiana woman stopped a knife wielding man who attempted to rape her by biting his genitals, police said.

John Patton, 54, is accused of luring of a unknown woman he met on the dating website “Plenty of Fish” to his house and raping her. The 50-year-old victim told the researchers that they met with the Patton after they chatted on the dating site for a few weeks, NOLA.com reported.

The duo initially agreed to meet at a daiquiri shop on Friday evening, but Patton asked the woman to come to his home in Westwego, so that he became acquainted with his sister to her, police said. The woman went to Patton’s apartment and down the hall, where he said that his sister was.

When they turn to leave, Patton allegedly put his hand on her mouth, pulled her to a bedroom and an “implied he wanted to have sex,” police said. They told the police they decided to have sex with him, out of fear for her life.

The woman said she found her first chance to escape when Patton demanded oral sex, after that he was “not performing.” They would bit Patton genitals and ran from the bedroom, without clothes on, NOLA.com reported. They barricaded themselves in the corner of the house with the help of a coffee table after closing the doors, a separate key to be unlocked.

“She was just cowering in the corner of the table. He approached several times (with a knife), and she fought against him with it,” Westwego police spokesman Lt. Eric Orlando told NOLA.com.

Patton tried to stab the woman with a knife several times. They disarmed Patton for the first time and deflected the other hits with the table. The two were in a deadlock for hours until Patton agreed to hand over her clothes and items and let her go around 9 pm on Saturday.

“He opened the door and said to her,” You need to leave,'” Orlando said.

Patton surrendered and was booked in jail on second-degree rape, aggravated sexual battery, and false imprisonment while armed with a dangerous weapon.

At the time of the incident, the 54-year-old was on parole for an aggravated possession of cocaine conviction.
