Lost Frequencies gives everyone a chance for cooperation
Lost Frequencies makes no distinction in well-known or unknown artists when it comes to a possible collaboration. Since his big breakthrough last year with the hit, Are You With Me he gets to the belt offers but the Belgian, who is actually Felix De Laet is called, does not look at names.
“I would like to collaborate with everyone. I’m quite open in,” says De Laet against BuzzE. “I get a lot of requests from musicians who just try. And sometimes I take what and we try something.”
If De Laet still have to choose, he works preferably with unfamiliar names as he did on his records Reality and Beautiful Life. Then do respectively the Dutchman Janieck of the Maiden and the Swede Sandro Cavazza.
“Well-known names expect that everything I do and I don’t feel like it,” said De Laet. “Work, I prefer unknown artists that we’re really together, something can drop.”
On his debut album, Friday, the 7th of October appeared, is not a single known name. Probably because the Belgian is already a long time ago, the cd began. That resulted in a whole pile of songs of which not all of the songs, the album took.
“Without knowing I’m already there two years,” says De Laet. “So I could now ease think about which tracks I wanted. And some will never be released,” he laughs.
With three number 1 hits in a row, Flanders has The Laet meanwhile, the recordboeken met. The dj can get used to all that success. “Why not?” he asks. It is, according to him, only addictive. “It’s really funny that everyone is singing along during performances. Really mad. Even on the other side of the world.”
