Rep., Liz Cheney, R-Wyoming., the call for a temporary suspension of the Capitol tours, in an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

“We should make this step. Not doing so puts the health and safety of tourists in danger,” she tweeted Wednesday in response to news that Congress is considering legislature when a measure to limit tourist access to the Capitol.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., said on Wednesday that temporarily trips, and stopping is taken into account.

“We are yet to get a handle on whether or not we should be the closure of the Capitol in relation to the visitors. But this is certainly something that we need to take into account,” he said.
