Liverpool take Keita in 2018 for record amount of over RB Leipzig
Liverpool and RB Leipzig have agreed on the transition of Near Keita. The 22-year-old midfielder signs a contract for five seasons at the Premier League club, which takes effect on July 1, 2018.
Liverpool wanted the midfielder from Guinea actually already over it. A bid of reportedly 80 million euros but it was rejected by Leipzig.
Keita has a clause in his contract, that he, by 1 July 2018 for a total of almost 52 million euros to leave. Liverpool to pay that amount, which Keita is the most expensive purchase from the clubhistorie.
“I am pleased that there is already an agreement has been concluded,” said Keita on the site of Liverpool. “I’ll have a year to give it their all for Leipzig, as I have always done. Then I’m going to focus on Liverpool.”

Keita played between 2014 and 2016 for Red Bull Salzburg and then made the move to Leipzig. In his first season with the Germans he came eight times to score goals in 31 matches played.
Thus he had an important contribution to the handsome second place in the Bundesliga last season. Leipzig, placed himself thereby for the main tournament of the Champions League.
Keita follows at Liverpool Christian Benteke as the most expensive purchase in the club history. The current striker of Crystal Palace in 2015 to 46.5 million euro, acquired from Aston Villa.
