LinkedIn should startup to provide access to public profile data

LinkedIn should be the American judge a startup grant access to public profile information.
That has the judge on Monday determined, according to Reuters. LinkedIn should all possible blockages to remove the startup HiQ Labs stand in the way, so that all information of public profiles can read.
HiQ Labs is developing an algorithm that data from LinkedIn analyzes the behaviour of staff to predict. So tries the algorithm, for example, to discover when someone resigned.
LinkedIn does not want the information used this way is blocked HiQ Labs access to public profile information. The social network is afraid that this enables users to have no control over who their data is to be processed.
HiQ Labs calls the ruling a “victory for companies that depend on public information.” The judgment may as a possible precedent for cases from other companies who want access to public data of techgiganten.
A spokesperson of LinkedIn is disappointed with the decision of the court. “We will continue to fight, for the information of users on LinkedIn to protect.”
