Lindsay Lohan says she is ready for a “Mean Girls 2” movie, as the entire cast is also ready. Here Lohan poses for photos on Lohan Nightclub in Athens, Greece.
Lindsay Lohan made a rare red carpet appearance with her mother Dina Lohan, on Wednesday evening in the Daily Mail in the vacation part in New York City. The star talked about everything from living in Dubai to want a “Mean Girls” sequel.
“‘Mean Girls 2’ of the film — this is the interest,” Lohan told E! News. “We have to be Rachel McAdams! We need the whole cast back! I would gladly do it again. We had so much fun making it. Mark Waters is a great director, Tina Fey is a great writer, Paramount was great to work with — we had a blast.”
A direct-to-DVD sequel of the iconic movie came out in 2011, but a real sequel with the original cast has not yet come to fruition. Although the “Mean Girls” is still able to for the second time on the silver screen, fans of the original film can still get their fix by Broadway.
Tina Fey, the film’s writer and producer, has decided to adapt her iconic movie for the stage. “Mean Girls” musical is currently previewing in Washington, D. C., and comes to Broadway in April. But Lohan admitted to E! News that they are less well informed about the film that inspired the musical.

“I don’t really know much about it,” she said. “I heard yesterday from a friend. We’ll see!”
Since the film is a success back in 2004, Paramount has wanted to be Fey’s to help with the production of a sequel. The original film was $130 million at the worldwide box-office and ignited a huge cult, which is still alive and well today.

But to “Mean Girls 2” happen, if it happens, Lohan told E! The news that she wants to focus on the music again. Lohan had several singles in the beginning of the millennium, but the actress is hoping to start a new musical career with the ambitions of working with artists like Ed Sheeran and Eminem.
“I love writing. The thing is, with me, if I am acting, I always have headphones on, because that really helps me the sign that I am about to play. So, [music] has always had a very strong role in my life,” Lohan said. “Music you can feel anything.”
The “Freaky Friday” actress, who recently moved to Dubai, later told Entertainment Tonight that she return to New York for the holidays, but don’t plan on moving back to the states anytime soon.
“I love the life in New York, but I love the calm and peace that I find living in the Middle East because there are no cameras in Dubai and I can actually focus on what I want to do in life,” she said. “I don’t always need to be investigated, every second. I have a private life and a public life, but if I choose to. And I think that is important.”
But while they are in the united states, she plans on getting as much done as they can.
“I’m here in New York, so Tina Fey better be hiding, or I’m going to find her and Lorne Michaels. I know where his desk is,” Lohan joked.
