This Oct. 16, 2016 file photo shows actress Lindsay Lohan at the entrance of the Lohan night club during the opening night in Athens, Greece.
Lindsay Lohan is planning a resort island in Dubai called Lindsayland after the “Mean Girls” star to find success as an entrepreneur, with several clubs in Greece.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Lohan — who is filming a reality show on MTV about her Greek companies — posted a photo of what they call a “prototype” complex in Dubai, creative copy of the “Lindsayland.”
The caption also referred to the idea of “Lohan Island in Dubai.”
The image they posted actually comes from the plans for a property with the name Jasmine Garden in Dubai man-made archipelago of the World, of which the group of islands were built to resemble a map viewed from overhead.
According to a 2012 report on Emirates 24/7, the investors in the project were offered a full refund by the developer,” and the project was put on hold.
The website for the planned project had promised to 131 residential units, a five-star spa and gourmet restaurants.
In January, Lohan Instagrammed himself on a beach on the island, to proclaim: “Soon it will be Lohan’s Island.”
A rep for Lohan not get back to us.
