Lidl makes no more chance at the title Liegebeest of Awake Animal
The Lidl is not a candidate more in the election of Liegebeest 2016 action group Awake Animal. The supermarket business was nominated because it is not held on the promise to stop the sale of plofkip.
Lidl has now committed as soon as possible to switch to a slower growing breed and are no longer only the female chickens, to select. By mid 2017 should be the other chicken on the shelf.
With the election Liegebeest want to Wake up Animal producers “expose consumers to the garden with fancy talk about animal welfare”.
Unox, dairy brand Den Eelder, the veal of Vitel-Oké and the Sea & We, the grower of tilapia, are the four remaining nominees.
