LG unveils V30 smartphone with bigger OLED screen
LG has its new Q30 smartphone with a larger 6 inch screen unveiled.

The V30 is 6 inches larger than the LG G6 earlier this year, a 5.7 inch screen. The new 6-inch screen has a resolution of 2880 by 1440 pixels. It is the first LG phone with an OLED screen.
The V30 also has a thinner screen edges at the top and bottom. The whole of the phone is, therefore, despite the large screen, relatively compact.
No second screen
Earlier models in the V series had a second screen on top of the unit. The V30 will see the smartphonemaker there. Instead, the interface of the device is a floating toolbar with additional information.
The V30 is Hi-Fi Quad DAC chip that the sound quality of the phone controls. This could cause the unit to digital filters, about music, places, or certain presets.
On the back of the device are two cameras: a 16 megapixel camera, and a camera with a wide angle lens of 13 megapixels. A new video mode that changes the colors of the cameras automatically to settings in cinema are used.
A new zoom feature lets users tap on a topic, after which the smartphone automatically zoom in.
Dust and water resistant
The smartphone contains a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835-chip, 64GB of storage and a 3,300 mAh battery. The device is according to the LG IP68-certified, which means that he is water – and dust repellent.
LG sells the V30 from 21 september in South Korea. In the Netherlands, he will be somewhere in the fourth quarter of 2017 to appear. A price is not yet disclosed.
