The LG G6, the next flagship of the South Korean smartphonemaker, may receive a irisscanner to unlock the device.
The Korea Herald reports that LG has recently released a smartphonemodule has revealed that as a camera and as irisscanner. Sources in the industry expect that this module in the G6 will be processed.
This year, the Galaxy Note 7 Samsung already has a irisscanner. That smartphone was however recalled due to battery problems.
The G5, which came out last year, had a modular design, where the battery could be ejected and replaced. Also, there were new features at the bottom of the device to be added. The novelty was striking, but yielded no success.
It is unclear whether this modular design next year is re-used in the G6. According to earlier rumors doubted LG still there. The Korea Herald reports that the battery is removable, but it is unclear whether there are also other modules can be inserted.
The LG G5 last year was revealed during the smartphonebeurs MWC, in February. It is not known whether the successor during this exhibition will be presented.
