Leonardo DiCaprio was environmentalist by Al Gore
Leonardo DiCaprio became an environmentalist after a conversation that he had with politician Al Gore. “I spoke with him in the White House. He made a drawing for me to show you how bad it was to do with our earth.”
That tells the 41-year-old actor against People at the Toronto International Film Festival. DiCaprio promotes new documentary, The Ivory Game. The film makes its world premiere after viewers of Nexflix already had a taste of the documentary were presented.
“I was already very committed to the extinction of animal species. But after the conversation with Gore, I was really an activist,” explains the actor. “I was in my early twenties when I call to him.”
