Leonardo DiCaprio gets a starring role in the film adaptation of the book the Black Hand of Stephan Talty.
Leonardo plays the heldenrol of Joe Petrosino, reports Variety.
Petrosino was an Italian-born officer with the New York city police that a ruthless gang with the name The Black Hand wants to roll up. The criminals kidnap people and extort money from their families. They are hated by law-abiding Italian families, but nevertheless can Petrosino on their aid rely.
Stephan Talty is a best-selling author from New York. He was also the ghostwriter of A Captain’s Duty, which formed the basis for the movie Captain Philips with Tom Hanks in the lead role.
