Lena Dunham talks in the podcast about her disease endometriosis
Lena Dunham has in her last podcastaflevering of Women of the Hour about her health problems talk. The 30-year-old actress suffers from the chronic disease endometriosis and for the fourth time.
The podcast was recorded from the hospital. The actress explains that she for the fourth time in three and a half month had to go to hospital. “But the third time for my endometriosis, that other time for a broken elbow.”
“I’ve already spent a lot of time in the noodkamer”, says the Girls actress. The last time she was in the hospital she thought that she has a urinary tract infection. “I have more and more pain. I’m on the antibiotics gone and have nothing at all taken. The pain in my back and my pelvis are terrible and I am now here to find out if I have a cyst on my ovaries have or maybe something else.”
“It makes for such a continuous pain that it affects my life,” said Dunham. The actress gets from her doctors morphine. “The pain is gone and there is no other pain for the back.”
Dunham explains that she gets emotional from her time in the hospital. “I am shaking, sweating and crying. It feels like I have something terrible wrong I have done, while I only want to be.”
The actress is more open about her health. At the beginning of this month she appeared on the cover of the magazine Glamour which cellulite is visible on her leg.
